Chapter 34 - Taking a Moment from their Busy Life
Next morning, Khushi's beauty sleep was disturbed by the radiant beams of sun that were trying to peep in through the slits of the drawn curtain. She opened her eyes lazily, and tried to move a little. Then only she remembered that she was not on her bed, but she was somewhere else. She could feel the strong hands of Arnav where she was being held in warmth. She looked at the sleeping figure beside her. She realized how childish and innocent her love looked when he was fast a sleep. She ran her fragile finger along his jawline and smiled when he made creases of irriation on his forehead, as if signalling he didn't want anyone to disturb his peaceful sleep. She slowly removed his hands from waist, being careful not to wake him up. Then she straight away headed to the washroom to freshen herself.
After freshening herself up, Khushi had changed into a grey coloured turtle neck top and a pair of black jeans(http://web233.revolveclothing.com/images/p/n/z/AUTU-WK146_V1.jpg). As Arnav was still asleep, Khushi didn't want to wake him up. She knew how tired he must be, as he had his handful yesterday, no time for him to breath. She took silent steps towards the balcony of the room and took in the fascinating view in front of her. The range of mountains faraway made her mind drift to a land of thoughts unknowingly. She felt the soft breeze touch her gentle skin, giving her a soothing effect. The sun was shining bright and the birds were chirping happily, as if they were glad that finally the horrible rain was over. Unaware of the person behind, Khushi went on admiring the nature of beauty silently. Because when she returns back to the city, she wouldn't have even a second to enjoy what was around her. Come to think of it, what was there to enjoy in her city. Just big buildings of concrete, cars with dark smoke, people rushing around having no time to enjoy the mother nature. How she wished if she could forget about everything in her real life, and go and live in the mountains in a small cottage with Arnav. They would be stress free, she thought to herself.
When Arnav woke up, he realized that Khushi had already woken up as the space beside him was empty. He got down from the bed silently and tried to check what Khushi was doing. He saw his angel enjoying the beauty of nature serenely. Without disturbing her peace of mind, he went to the washroom silently and refreshed himself. After changing into a navy blue long sleeved T-shirt and a pair of light blue denim, he guided his feet towards Khushi.
Khushi gasped when she felt a pair of arms slid around her waist, pulling her more towards the warmth she was waiting to feel since she woke up. She leaned her head back and rested her head on his chest.
"Good morning baby", Arnav said lovingly, while he placed a butterfly kiss on her cheek. He then rested his chin on her shoulder and breathed in the scent of Khushi that was already making him feel intoxicated.
"Good morning! Now I'm your baby?", Khushi asked while raising her eyebrows with a smirk.
"Of course. You are the most precious person in my life. And babies are considered to be the most precious gift given by gods to the humans. Since I consider you being a gift from the god and because you are precious to me, you are my baby", Arnav said with a wink while smiling.
Khushi smiled at his explanation, and continued to speak. "When did you wake up? I didn't even hear you coming here", Khushi said.
"Well, I saw you all immersed in a pool of thoughts, so I didn't want to disturb you. After changing, I thought of surprising you by breaking you from you thoughts. Why didn't you wake me up? And where were you all lost for so long?", Arnav asked, in a questioning tone.
"I didn't wake you, because I felt that you may be tired after the hectic schedule you spent yesterday. As for your second question, I was just enjoying the view. Look around Arnav. No harsh sounds. Just the chirping sound of the birds and sounds of nature. See the mountains. I really wish if I could just build a small cottage there and spend the rest of my life with you beside me. How wonderful would it be? Less stressed lifestyle. No big responsibilites, no competition to win over another project. Life would be like walking on a bed of roses.", Khushi went on revealing her true thoughts to Arnav.
"Yeah, it's really wonderful. Even I would love to spend the rest of the life with you alone, in a small cottage in the mountains. But is that the life you want? Would you be able to live without your family or Payal? No right? Khushi, both our families are a part of our lives now. So I'm sure we won't be able to live without them. I agree that our lives would be stress free. No projects, no going to work, etc. But do you think that you would be able to spend your whole life without taking use of your talent? No Khushi, you won't. Because we are who we are right now. No matter how much we think that we will be happy trying a different lifestyle, we won't be able to be happy. Work is part of our life. And we would die out of boredom, if we just spend the rest of our life on a mountain or wherever. I agree all these project work and stuff are stressful, yet if there weren't these kinds of challenges, our lives would be monotonous. And no matter what, I really love the way my time is being spent since last couple of months. I love to work, but it has become more enjoyable as you are working along with me. So I love the way my life goes on. I know it's not easy, but as long as we both are together, we can face all the obstacles successfully as we continue our journey towards our future", Arnav finished saying his point of view regarding Khushi's thoughts.
"Enough of your big talks, Boss. Point clearly understood. No wonder you win so many awards and specially the Young Entrepreneur of the Year award', Khushi said while laughing.
"See, I told you. No one can win by talking with Arnav Singh Raizada", Arnav said proudly, while pulling Khushi more towards him, embracing her in a warm back hug.
"I really hate your top. Not because it isn't beautiful or anything. Anything looks good on you. But it covers your swan like neck, so how can I place butterfly kisses on your throat?", Arnav said.
Khushi blushed at Arnav's words. She wondered how he could be so open, without any nervousness.
"Wow, look at you being all shy and coy. Am I with the wrong girl? As far as I remember the girl with me last night was all feisty", Arnav said teasingly.
"You really should be glad that this top has a high neck. Else everyone would get to know what we were up to last night", Khushi said. Arnav realized that she was hinting about the hickey. He smiled silently and turned Khushi to face him. He placed two butterfly kisses on both her cheeks and said, "So tell me something Khushi, where would you like to go for our honeymoon?".
"What?", Khushi was surprised at the question Arnav asked.
"Yeah Khushi. Didn't you hear me clearly? Where would you like to go for our honeymoon?", Arnav repeated the question.
"Why are we talking about our honeymoon right now, when we have plenty of time to talk about it later", Khushi said seriously.
"Oh no babes, we don't. There is only two and half months left for our wedding. And you and I both know that we both would be busy with the project, for the next two months", Arnav said thoughtfully.
"Well, since you seemed to be quite eager to know my choice, I would love to go to Maldives", Khushi said cheerfully.
"I would love to know the reasons for your choice, but lets leave that topic for our honeymoon. So then it's decided. We will go to Maldives for our honeymoon for one week", Arnav said with a full smile.
"One week? What shall we do there for one week?" Khushi asked with her quizzical eyes.
"Oh, there are lots of stuff to do. Infact at the end of seven days you would feel that the seven days were not enough. I would love to say what kinds of stuff, but why ruin the surprise. Intezaar ka pal meeta hota hai Khushi. So wait and see", Arnav said with his signature smirk.
Khushi knew that her rosy cheeks had now turned to hot red, as she felt the warmth of her blood on the skin of her cheeks. Arnav was once again mesmerized by the innocent beauty of Khushi. He slowly leaned his head towards her and placed a peck on her lips.
"As much as I would love to continue this peck until it becomes a passionate kiss, we can't. It's already 11.30am. We should leave now. After the rain the road must be slippery as well. So I don't think I will be able to drive fast as well", Arnav said thoughtfully.
"Yeah, we should leave now", Khushi said, while taking a final look at the range of mountains.
After thirty minutes, both Arnav and Khushi checked out of the hotel. Khushi was feeling sad as the time she got to spend with Arnav was less. But at the same time she was glad as she had added the special moments of the most romantic night she spent with Arnav in to her album called the "Golden Memories of Khushi Gupta", in her mind.
It was around 7.00pm when Arnav finally stopped his car in front of Khushi's house. As Arnav had predicted, the road was slippery. So it took more than the normal time, for their drive back home. Khushi got down from the car, while Arnav after getting down from the car came to her side.
"Last night was amazing Arnav. Thanks a lot. I really wish if we could have spent more time there", Khushi said, as she was feeling really grateful for giving her one of the most amazing surprises.
"Wow, look who is talking. Are you the same Khushi who was hell bent in returning home yesterday?", Arnav said teasingly.
"Shut up", Khushi said, while silencing Arnav by smooching her lips on his. Both of them forgot where they were, as they continued to taste each other.
"Khushi, is that you?", Khushi heard her Chachi's voice. She took it as a warning sign to stop their short, passionate kiss.
"I guess you should go in", Arnav said, while touching her lips with his thumb.
"Yep. Good night Arnav", Khushi said, while smiling her sweet smile.
"Since it is dark outside, I guess I can give you your good night kiss", Arnav said, while giving a soft kiss on her cheeks. "Good night baby", Arnav said, while going towards the driver's seat of the car.
After Arnav left, Khushi was about to enter the house, when Chachi stopped her.
"You have a surprise", Mona said.
"Surprise?", Khushi asked, as she didn't know what her Chachi was talking about.
Just when she was about to ask what it was, she heard a loud squeal saying, "Khushi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!".
"Oh my god, you?", Khushi screamed with joy when she saw the person in front of her.
